Sound Oasis S-650-01 Sleep Sound Therapy System Review

Amazon Customer Leo J. Schick Jr. (New Bedford, MA, US) gives this product 5 Stars and says:

Lulled to sleep…

I researched quite a few sound machines and finally settled on the Sound Oasis S-650-01 Sleep Sound Therapy System.
I really like it as the settings are pretty straight forward and the sound is perfect. The unit comes with two sound cards for variation. I especially like the Hawaiian Surf and Rain Forest. It’s very relaxing and helps you drift off to sleep. When playing sounds, you have time options e.g. 30, 60, 90 minutes and as it approaches the time limit the sound gently fades away to quiet. I’m glad I chose this model”

Amazon Customer Wes (Fort Mill, SC, USA) gives this product 5 Stars and says:

Finally a solution!!!

My wife purchased this item after trying other things such as ear plugs, medicine, etc in order to help drown out my snoring. We had to end up sleeping in different beds until she purchased the Sound Oasis. This product has worked perfectly for us. It is a very good quality sound machine as my wife uses it with headphones in order to sleep since I am such a loud snorer. The only issue we have seen is what others mentioned about setting the time. It is a painstaking process to set the time of it but other than that it works perfect. The sounds are very high quality and ours came with an additional sound card. I was hesitant at first to buy it with the price tag but figured you get what you pay for and we found a great product in the sound oasis. We usually keep it plugged in with the adapter but just came back from a cruise and had to use it with batteries. A new set of 4 AA batteries lasted about a week in the machine. We did have one issue where it seemed like the Sound Oasis stopped working but we found the reset button located in the battery compartment. We pressed the reset button (after desperately searching for something small enough to fit in there) and the Sound Oasis starting working again like normal. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a small compact sound machine

Amazon Customer I. Moore (Long Beach, CA USA) gives this product 5 Stars and says:

Couldn’t be better!

I have bought this machine, because I had trouble falling asleep. The first time I had to return it, because it was resetting the alarm clock all the time. Returns to Amazon are easy, and it was replaced by a new machine. It is certainly worth the money I spent on it. The alarm clock/sound machine comes with two sound cards (1 already in the machine, 1 in the box). You get plenty of music/sounds for your money. If you like it, you can always buy extra sound cards. The alarm clock function is a little difficult to handle when you attempt to set it. The button has to be pressed down until you reach the desired time, but normally you only set your clock once, and don’t have to deal with that anymore

Amazon Customer Gerry G (USA) gives this product 5 Stars and says:

Great sounds, separate alarm and sleep sounds

This was an answer to nightstand space limits. A sleep sound (my wife works nights) and SEPARATE alarm buzzer.

Pros:

- Great sounds, came with an extra card.
- Compact design
- Variable brightness back lighted clock
- Can sleep to a sound awake to buzzer gently increasing in volume if you set alarm to buzzer
- Simple button layout
- Simple time setting, no complex button sequences – see con
- Full operation on AA batteries if used portable or power outage.

Con: MINOR
- Setting time is time consuming

Effective and Natural Tinnitus Cures

Natural Tinnitus CuresThe best natural tinnitus cures actually depend on the main reason why you are suffering from it. If you have your doctor with you, it will be a lot easier for you to manage your tinnitus problem. There are lots of natural alternative medicines (also see tinnitus homeopathy and/or acupuncture for tinnitus) which can also be helpful in curing tinnitus.

Remember that nature is said to be the best doctor, not just for tinnitus, but for any types of illnesses. The best thing about natural tinnitus cures is that they do not have any side effects at all.

Tinnitus is known considered a symptom of a more serious, underlying medical condition. When you are suffering from tinnitus, you may experience hearing continuous buzzing ear , ringing or whistling in your ears without any external sources. This condition may be due to several different factors such as ear infection, head trauma or neck injury and too much exposure to very loud music or noise. If you think you are suffering from tinnitus, it is wise to visit your physician as soon as possible. Your doctor might be able to give you suggestions regarding the treatments that you can opt for even at home. Surgeries can be offered by your physician as well, especially if your tinnitus condition is severe. But if you are hesitant to undergo surgery, then you may opt for other natural tinnitus cures such as melatonin, lesser periwinkle or vinca minor, zinc, black cohosh, hawthorn, ginkgo biloba (see tinnitus herbs and/or herbs for tinnitus). There are also non-herbal remedies that you may opt for such as vitamin B12 and vitamin A (also see tinnitus vitamins)vwhich can both be very helpful in curing problems with ringing ears.

In most cases of tinnitus, sufferers are usually zinc deficient and so they opt for natural tinnitus cures such as the use of zinc in order to reduce or treat their tinnitus problems. Food sources can also be used as natural tinnitus cures. These foods may include cooked greens, green beans, legumes, whole grains, soybeans, peanuts, crab, Gouda cheese, shrimp and shellfishes among others.  As one of the natural tinnitus cures, zinc is also available in capsules or tables and this can help stimulate your immune system aside from being an antioxidant. You should also take note that disruptive sleep patterns may also cause tinnitus or can aggravate it and this is where melatonin can be helpful.  Melatonin can help reduce insomnia, irritability and tiredness which can aggravate tinnitus. On the other hand, the active ingredients in the lesser periwinkle known as vicamine can help lessen the severity of the tinnitus condition.

Gingko biloba is one of the most popular natural tinnitus cures which is being used by the Chinese for several thousand years now. This has proven to be an effective treatment for various types of illnesses or ailments and not just for tinnitus. About 120 to 125 mg of gingko biloba can be ingested and used as a daily supplement. Another effective natural treatment or natural tinnitus remedy is the black cohosh.  This herb can help treat the blood congestion which often cause blood pressure in your head, which can also aggravate tinnitus if the pressure is in extreme. Last but not the least is the hawthorn which may serve as a natural tonic for the body’s circulatory system. There are other natural tinnitus cures such as meditation like yoga, which can help reduce stress thus reducing the discomfort brought by tinnitus.

Make sure you take a ‘sneak peek’ at the ‘Recommended Tinnitus Treatment Guide’ mentioned (above-right on this page). Tinnitus Cure Information

Tinnitus HelpWhat is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is the name given to the phenomenon of hearing ringing in the ears. This is the result of a problem with the connection between the brain and the ears, and not due to any external sound. Tinnitus cure information can often be hard to come by, as no one is entirely sure of the nature of this problem. There are a number of things you can do, however, to prevent tinnitus occurring, or if you’ve become affected, there are a couple of factors to keep in mind that can make your tinnitus easier to deal with.

One of the most common causes of tinnitus is from abuse of the ears with loud noises. This can be from exposing the ears to loud noises through headphones turned up too loud, being at concerts or dance clubs where music is blaring, or a work related environment, such as one that uses noisy machinery.

Preventing Tinnitus

The way to prevent damage to your ears in this way is simple enough. By using earplugs at concerts and clubs, proper ear protection at work and turning down the volume on your iPod, you can greatly reduce the chance that you’ll get tinnitus. Remember that if you’re on a bus or train, you might want to turn up your mp3 player in order to hear over the noises in the area. If you do this, however, you risk doing real damage to your ears. It’s worth not listening to anything at all rather than put your health at risk.

Lessening Symptoms

Tinnitus often occurs as a result of poor blood flow to the brain, which worsens the connection the brain has to the ear receptors. In order to combat this, it’s worth trying to improve your health. Exercising and eating healthier foods are two obvious choices that will undoubtedly help you. It’s also worth giving up bad habits like drugs, smoking and caffeine, as these all can significantly worsen the ringing in your ears. If you’re taking the advice you’ve gotten on certain tinnitus cure information, while you’re still living an unhealthy life, you won’t ever notice improvements in relation to this problem.

You should also keep in mind that being in complete quiet actually worsens tinnitus. Since the brain has no other sound to listen to, the perception of the ringing in the ears will become louder, and will be harder to deal with. This is why many products are available that give “white noise”, which can block out the sound of ringing ears. You can also take the medical supplement ginko biloba, which works to increase blood flow to the brain and has been shown to lessen the symptoms of tinnitus.

While preventing tinnitus is ultimately the best idea, there is plenty of tinnitus cure information out there to help you deal with and overcome this problem. Undertaking a healthier lifestyle and investigating other methods to improve your brain and ear health can go along way to lessening, and perhaps removing, the annoyance of tinnitus.

In fact the ‘Recommended Tinnitus Treatment Guide’ mentioned (above-right on this page) is packed with just a ton of information (280+ pages in this very popular Natural Tinnitus Cure System), including causes and natural cures – it’ll take you through a step by step proven system that actually works.
