Tinnitus Sinus – Causes and Remedies
Tinnitus sinus – one of the causes of tinnitus sinus issues is nasal congestion problem. People who have sinusitis also suffer from tinnitus (also see tinnitus and treatment). The ear ringing is caused by blocked sinuses. When the sinus is blocked, the Eustachian tube located in the ear canal gets blocked too and the flow of sound into the ears is affected. Having ringing ears and nasal congestion at the same time is burdensome. Since tinnitus occurs due to sinus problems, the ear ringing also stops when the sinuses are not inflamed anymore.
The sounds usually associated with tinnitus sinus are high pitched ringing sound, cracking sound and a gurgling sound. Nasal sprays, antihistamines and decongestants may help a person control the symptoms of tinnitus. Surgery is a remedy for those who experience severe sinusitis attacks. But if the attacks are bearable, there is no need to undergo surgery.
The ingredients used in tinnitus-sinus remedy are Hydrastis which are effective in relieving blockage in the Eustachian tube; Calcarea carbonica or impure calcium carbonate which helps with the inflammation of the sinuses; Kalium Bichromate which helps in treating ulcerations of the nasal mucosa and lastly, Silicea, which helps chronic sinusitis and rhinitis problems.
There are other health problems that cause tinnitus sinus like high blood pressure, ear infections, tumors, head and neck trauma and Meniere’s disease. Meniere’s disease is known as an abnormality of the inner ear. A restriction to the small capillaries can cause a difficulty in the flow of fluids in the inner ear. The said disease has symptoms that include nausea, vertigo, dizziness, hearing loss and tinnitus. The tinnitus caused by Meniers’s disease has been said to cause hearing loss, depending on severity. Although Meniere’s disease cannot be treated by traditional means, the tinnitus it may cause can still be dealt with in terms of its severity.
There are some medical treatments and natural remedies (Tinnitus Natural Remedy) that can be considered to help controlling the tinnitus sinus caused by meniere’s disease. The physician should be able to offer different choices for this kind of tinnitus. Meniere’s disease has no cure and not even easy to diagnose. So the symptoms of it are the only ones to be cured. The symptoms should be controlled. There are recently refined treatments which are close to a cure. The diagnosis is based on a combination of the right set of symptoms like hearing disturbance and episodic dizziness.
There are treatments for tinnitus sinus used between attacks. The purpose is to prevent or decrease the number of episodes and to lessen the chances of hearing loss and vestibular system damage. Tinnitus may be the result of long term Meniere’s disease. The standard medical treatments are the hydrops diet regimen which will stabilize patients when strictly followed; the diuretic medication for tinnitus sinus which aids in regulating the fluid pressure located in the inner ear. Hence, reduces the severity and frequency of attacks and lastly, vestibular suppressants like Antivert or Clonazepam are used if needed only.
Persons who have Meniere’s disease also suffer from tinnitus sinus. However, individuals who suffer from tinnitus do not imply to be directly related to Meniere’s disease. If a person is affected by Meniere’s disease, almost 50 to 95% of their hearing may be affected. Meniere’s disease with tinnitus is considered as a progressive disease and may also lead to permanent hearing damage.
